Wed Wednesday // Our Save The Dates
I've written quite a few Wed Wednesday posts, but I'm finally going to be including some more about my wedding! After nine years with Gregg, our wedding is around the corner! Of course, I knew I was going to design my own wedding invitations, and every detail I could strum up, but it proved to be pretty challenging. We're our own worst critics, and I really wanted to find the perfect design to symbolize Gregg and my relationship, which proved to be really different from the work I've done for the brides I work with. I'm so happy with how they turned out! My friend Amy of greengirlpress, let me come pull our prints on her letterpress! We printed on 220 lb paper (super thick!), and Amy painted the edges purple for us. I tied a sticker around each save the date with bakers twine, so that people could unwrap the invite, and put the sticker on their calendar as a reminder! Pulling the paper through the press was so fun (as always) and I'm so happy with the finished product. They look even better when photographed by Audra Zaba! Seeing them on Oh So Beautiful Paper last week was definitely the icing on the cake! I can't believe our wedding is around the corner, it's been such an exciting time! I think I was a little ambitious hand lettering all the addresses and wrapping each invite, but it was totally worth it!
